A: Our vans fit 120 full bin-liners worth of goods in one load.
Q: What happens if everything doesn't fit in the van?
A: We manually review each booking. If we think repeat trips will be required we will contact you immediately to inform you of the potential extra cost.
Q: Will the driver help me load and unload?
A: Yes, your driver will help you load and unload and will be equipped fully for the task. You can also choose to have Done-For-You loading and unloading by selecting 2 or more movers when placing your booking
Q: Can i get extra movers with this service?
A: Sure, simply choose the amount of movers you require when getting your Instant Quote (1 min, 3 max).
Q: How are your quotes calculated?
A: Quotes are calculated using item volume, a base charge, plus distance traveled, and a per extra stop / trip charge (if applicable), plus any additional services you choose when booking, NOT weight or value goods.
Q: Do you charge for fuel or mileage?
A: No. Your fixed price quote includes fuel & mileage.
Q: What if my move takes longer than expected?
A: The time it takes to complete a job does not affect the price.
Q: What if i need to make changes after my booking is placed?
A: You can adjust your booking however you would like all the way up until your job starts. Your quote will be recalculated to reflect any changes.
Q: Do you accept card payments?
A: Yes, we accept all major cards and payment types such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Q: Do you operate outside standard business hours?
A: Yes, we operate 24/7, 365 days a year.
Q: Do you handle or remove waste items for disposal?
A: No, we do not handle waste of any kind. We recommend you contact your local council or a waste removal company for these jobs.
Q: Are there any non-waste items you don't transport?
A: We do not transport hazardous or illegal goods, or unsealed liquids of any kind. All sealed liquids must be declared for inspection prior to loading.
Q: When is payment due for my removals job?
A: No payment is taken until goods are delivered, unless the job is £500 or more, in which case a 50% deposit is required before the job starts.*
Q: How do i make payment for my removals job?
A: All payments are via payment link sent to your mobile, or by visiting smuve.uk/pay.
